The Chemical Platform is an assessment tool which provides an overall chemical risk rating and calculation of the potential hazard exposure based on chemicals used and processes performed at a facility. This assessment is taking into consideration several factors, including chemical’s toxicity, its properties, exposure level, and potential impact on human health or the environment. Here, this will be achieved by parsing information contained within an SDS and the manual addition of data relating to the use of the chemical added by the facility.
