How to Invite Smelters and Refiners to RBA Online

Smelters and refiners (commonly referred to as SORs) are critical entities in the mineral supply chain. They process raw materials into usable metals and play a vital role in ensuring responsible sourcing practices. To promote transparency and collaboration, RBA Online allows these entities to be invited to the platform.
Invitations to smelters and refiners can be initiated by:
- RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) members
- RMI (Responsible Minerals Initiative) members
- RBA administrators

Step-by-Step Guide to Inviting Smelters and Refiners
1. Log into RBA Online: Go to RBA Online and sign in with your credentials.
2. Navigate to the RMI Network Tab: Once logged in, locate and click on the RMI Network tab in the main navigation menu.
3. Select “Invite RMI Companies”: Under the RMI Network section, choose the "Invite RMI Companies" option.

4. Click on "Invite Companies" : You’ll be taken to a page where you can initiate the invitation process.
5. Choose Your Invitation Method:
You have two options:

- Invite individually by entering company details manually.
- Bulk upload using a downloadable template. Fill out the template and upload it back to the system.
Once completed, click Submit.
6. Review Invitation Status: After submission, the next page will display:
- Invitee name
- Company name
- Invitation status
Invitation Status Definitions:
- Initiated – Invitation has been sent.
- Requested – Invitee has requested access.
- Accepted – Invitee has accepted and joined.
- Rejected – Invitee declined the invitation.
- Revoked – Invitation was withdrawn.
7. Invitee Receives Email: The invitee will receive an email invitation with instructions on how to access and register on RBA Online.
